  Notes	Duncan McLean was an assistant Inspector of the poor in Dunoon. Then he moved to Glasgow with the Post Office. Then he moved to manchester to a managerial post with Global Express.he wrote poetry from an early age & was published in the Glasgow Herald,Oban Times,Gentleman's Magazine & the Dunoon Standard. In 1917 the Manchester &Salford Caledonian society had a book of his poems published in his honour.
